Sap Ewm Wt Tollerance

SAP Help Portal. The purpose of this page is to provide a list Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) separated by area in EWM. This page will list all Knowledge Base Articles created in EWM area, both of the type 'Problem' and also those of the type 'How To', also identifying which component is affected. May 31, 2020 The tolerance limit is value-based in this type. There is a new parameter to be defined in this type, wait time ( in days), after which the physical inventory would automatically be posted from embedded EWM to SAP S/4HANA. Once the tolerance group for posting and recounting are defined, you have to assign the tolerance group for the users using. The tolerance check determines whether the delivery quantity lies within the given tolerances for both inbound and outbound deliveries. Integration You define the tolerances for the delivery quantity in the reference document that is used to trigger the delivery process.

Overview:

Catch Weight Management (CWM) is an industry-specific function for the requirements of the consumer products industry in general, and the food processing industry in particular.

Sap

The major focus segment of CWM are

  • Livestock, meat, fish, dairy(Cheese), fruits/Vegetables, lumber. leather.

One of the basic requirements of the food processing industry is that many of the materials used have to be managed within the whole logistics chain in two independent units of measure, for example, in pieces and kilograms.

A catch weight material within the supply chain in two units of measure that are independent of each other:

Within the value chain, you can choose whether the valuation quantity is to be based on the base unit of measure or the parallel unit of measure. SAP suggest parallel UOM as ‘Valuation UOM’.

SAP Suggests: This core functionality within the context of CWM is that the Base Unit of Measure = Countable like PC, Case, Parallel UOM= Measurable( KG, GM, L). (Consulting note 2668177).

Catch weight management is well integrated to SAP EWM and following integration is possible.

  • Effects in Master data
  • Catch Weight in the Inbound & Outbound Delivery

  • Catch weight in Handling units

  • Catch weight in Physical Inventory

  • Catch weight during Deconsolidation

  • Catch weight in Quality Management

  • Catch weight fields in Radio Frequency( Inbound, Outbound, Physical Inventory)

  • Catch weight in Staging & Consumption of PMR items.

  • Catch weight in Repetitive Manufacturing.

This blog is written to unravel some of the above mentioned business process.

Integration to Handling units.

System allows to change Catch weight Quantity in Inbound delivery before GR when forming the HU.

An inbound delivery containing 4 piece each weighing 12.3 kilogram. In warehouse, it is required to weigh the individual items prior to goods receipt posting. This can be changed when forming the HU items. During goods receipt, to capture the weight variation, there is an additional field called valuation quantity which is required to be changed.

Valuation Measurement.

The moment valuation quantity is measured, it gets changed to value A

Additional fields display, recording of Valuation Quantity in Radio frequency( RF)

During putaway, picking or during psychical inventory process, RF is fully integrated to capture the weight variation during this processes.

The catch weight relevant material(CW) is marked with indicator and relevant valuation quantity field is displayed.

One can find more relevant logical steps which is called in RF in background.

Integration to S/4 Delivery

S/4 system is also capable of recording the valuation qty( Catch weight Quantity) if there is any.

Integration to picking process in EWM.

The picking warehouse task shows the product is ”Catch weight Relevant”.

During Warehouse task confirmation, there is an additional field to capture the weight variation of product.

Stock display in Warehouse Monitor.

There is an additional field called as Overall Valuation Qty gets displayed in Monitor depicting Catch weight relevant product.

CWM offers the above processes and functions with which materials can be managed within the supply chain (sales, purchase, materials management, production, quality management and logistics execution) in two units of measure that are independent of each other. There are also functions available for costing and inventory management as well as integration with Financial Accounting and Controlling, in order to map the requirements from the valuation area.
